News Subsidizers Links Contact us  Welcome to Coordinadora Abril In 1987, Coordinadora Abril, a charitable organization for the prevention of drug dependency, began work with the communities of Taraguilla, Miraflores and Estacion de San Roque in the province of Cadiz (Spain). The increasing concern of drug trafficking and drug abuse led these three communities to fight for a series of laws and regulations to be implented in order to address these issues and the drug dealers that walked their streets with impunity. As a result of these communities efforts and the mass media attention, coupled with the mobilization of various groups in other areas of the country, a framework of charity organizations evolved. Currently, they dedicate their efforts to the fight against drug trafficking, the prevention of drug use and the care and recovery of drug addicts. Presently, Coordinadora Abril continues its work and is growing significantly. It divides its time between several areas which can be accessed via the various links: Volunteers, Employment and Formal Job Training, Drug Prevention, Family and Individual Therapy, and the children´s homes "Abril" and "Sol de Abril".  Last News October 31 2007 - DAY OF THE RIGHTS OF THE CHILD.
